Vladivostok belongs to federal-level multimodal transport hubs. Its main element is Vladivostok port, one of the largest ports in the Russian Far East, carrying out all-year navigation and actively developing international commercial activities due to a beneficial geographical location.
Vostochny port is an international transportation hub that has the same advantages as Vladivostok - possibility for all-year navigation. This port - the deepest sea port in the Russian Far East - is capable of receiving vessels with a draft up to 15,5 meters. Its container terminal is the largest in Russia.
The total cargo turnover in the Far Eastern ports was 144,8 million tons in 2013, what resulted in the Russian Far-Eastern ports being included into the top three among territorial groups of Russian sea ports.

Coastal services are offered from Vladivostok to Kamchatka, Sakhalin Island, Kuril Islands, Chukotka and Magadan.
